How a Premier League Survivor Pool Works
A survivor pool, also called last man standing, is a season-long game. Every week you pick one Premier League team to win, and every loss costs you a strike. On Premier Survivor Picks you play it your way, with rules your league chooses.

The basics
- Pick one team each game week to win its match.
- Win or draw and you’re safe. Wins and draws also earn points.
- Lose and you take a strike. Reach your league’s strike limit and you’re out for the season.
- You can only use each team so many times, so the easy picks run out and the season gets harder.
Two ways to win
Last one standing takes the survivor title. Most points at the end of the season takes the points title.
Get knocked out and your points stop adding up, so staying alive helps in both races. Prefer a single winner? Your league can turn points off and play last one standing only.
Rules you can set
- Strikes: from 1 to 5 before a player is out, or none at all for a season-long points race.
- Team limit: pick each team once, twice, up to five times, or as often as you like.
- Points: 1 to 5 for a win, or the goal difference, and 0 to 5 for a draw.
- Season length: the rest of the season, or a shorter run of game weeks.
- Bonuses: an extra point for away wins, two extra for a winning pick nobody else in your league made, your own value for every club, and up to six double game weeks.
- Missed picks: count as a strike, or give the player a random team, the lowest-ranked team they can still use, or let the commissioner pick for them.
Deadlines
Picks lock one hour before the first kick-off of each game week, and you can change yours any time before then. Everyone’s picks are revealed at the deadline, so nobody can copy. If a match is postponed, it doesn’t count against you and you get that team back.
Starting and joining a league
Start a league in about a minute and invite your group with a link or a code. There’s no app to download; it works in any browser. Players can join until the league’s first deadline, and a league started mid-season begins at the next game week.
Questions
Is it free?
Players never pay. During our beta every league is free for the season. After that, whoever starts a league pays a one-time fee.
Who decides the rules?
The commissioner, the person who starts the league. Rules can change until the first deadline, then they lock for the season so it stays fair for everyone.
